Partnering and Repeat Business - Letters of recommendation From: Clive Huntley, Sir Robert McAlpine Re: Pavilion E, Centre for Mathematical Sciences, University of Cambridge To Whom it may concern T R Freeman are presently working for us, installing zinc raised seam roofing. The tendering / order procedure has been completed successfully and without problem. Their mobilisation before commencing on site, preparation of detail and attendance at co-ordination meetings has been more than satisfactory. They are now fixing zinc on site and are performing to programme and with quality. More importantly they are approaching the very difficult and complicated roofing, in an intelligent and logical way, which takes into account the needs of following trades. This an important factor when, as main Contractors we have to co-ordinate trades. On this project T R Freeman are having to co-ordinate with many other trades. We have also recently worked with T R Freeman on a previous Contract with Stainless Steel Raised Seam Roofing (Walsall Art Gallery) and again they performed satisfactorily. In Conclusion we have found T R Freeman to be a good Sub-contractor, who we would employ again. Regards, H.C. Huntley From: Tom French, Amec Construction Limited Re: Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge To Whom it may concern T R Freeman has been working on the department of Chemistry (Cambridge University) for the past 12 months. The original project started as a two stage tender, whilst at this point T R Freeman's were not the lowest priced contractor the professional manner in which they assisted in the early stages put them into a position were the cost no longer was a factor. On awarding one phase of works to them they worked very close with AMEC and the design team to achieve a snag free high standard of completed works. During the progression of T R Freeman's works the attitude and flexibility of the company from all team members has been very welcoming. Resulting from the aforementioned on checking back on the cost plans they have managed to complete their work within our original budget, we feel without their approach and openness this would not have been achieved. We AMEC would recommend T R Freeman as a company to be considered on any traditional metal work, and as such on this particular project we have partnered them for the remaining works.
