Company History of Kershaw Mechanical Services Ltd

Kershaw Mechanical Services Limited was established in 1946. In 1976 it merged with T R Freeman (founded in 1887), the other largest and most experienced building services company in Cambridge, creating Freeman Kershaw plc.

It specialised in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, domestic water services and electrical services.

In 1987 the company established an office in the West Midlands in High Street, Stourbridge.

Now Kershaw Mechanical Services Ltd operates independently, whilst remaining part of its parent company the Kershaw Group.

This group was formed in 1992, as a result of a management buyout from the Freeman Group plc and includes Kershaw Insulation, Kershaw Contracting Services, and T R Freeman.
